Breathing & Voice Workshop with Dr. Deirdre Michael

Do you suspect that how you learned to breathe in eighth grade choir isn’t serving you very well
these days? Have you always wondered what it really means to “sing from your diaphragm?”
In this presentation, Dr. Michael will provide basic explanation of the anatomy of breathing, and
teach you techniques for optimal respiratory mechanics for singing. She especially likes to
dispel the myths about breathing that you’ve heard all your life! This presentation will include
exercises and hands-on work with your breathing, and application to some of your Velvet Tones
repertoire.
